Puch Tecno Estoril Performance Pipe

My first order of business this spring was to install a Tecno Estoril performance pipe (de-restricted version) on to my Gila kit.  This pipe is made for "flat" type exhaust port cylinders such as the Polini kit vice "angle" ports found on Gilas or Metra kits.

A Moment Of Silence...

A Moment Of Silence for the victims of the 3/11 Earthquake/Tsunami Disaster in Japan.  I was here in Japan during this tragedy.  A very scary experience.  I had an opportunity to volunteer with some of the clean up.  Two years later, they still need a lot of help.

This came off of vimeo but i saw it first on Casserollers' blog site.  Being from Hawaii, we could never relate to the problems winter would bring to our moped lives.  Currently living in Japan, I can finally relate to what our mainland counterparts experience every winter season.

While we freeze our butts off in Japan, some of us are getting busy in Hawaii.  Old school Puch tuner Lance is in the middle of a sick Maxi Rigid build.  If he builds bikes like how he builds his cars, we are in for a treat.  Can't wait for the finsh product:

In the middle of Winter...

We are currently in the middle of Winter season here in Japan.  All moped production are currently on hold.  I am not accustomed to shelving projects because of the weather.  Unlike in Hawaii, you can wrench and ride all year long.  I can't even hook up the new d-restricted Estroil pipe on my ZA50 Gila!!  Got to wait till Spring I suppose....zanen :(

A friend of mine veedubh20 turned me onto this blog site called TuningMatters.com.  It's a European based blog about scooters featuring product reviews and event happenings.  They have tons of videos of their drag circuit, events, and custom shows that take place all over Europe.  Their scooter building community is huge with top notch bikes and events.  Also check out the other blogs listed on their site.  They're kick ass too!!
