I first encountered Hollaendaren on a Moped Army thread a few years ago.  He was building a ZA50 for sprint racing.  He was looking to modify his clutches and saw some of my stock modified clutch.  He eventually ended up with a modified treats clutch 1st gear and hybrid custom clutch 2nd gear.  He shared some of his runs on the thread:

Cost of Obsession: A Moped Hobbyist Life

I thought it would be interesting to share the cost i incurred on my Puch Pinto Project.  I built this bike from scratch beginning with a primo find on Moped Army of an already powder coated frame, tank, and fork.  The goal of this build was a near show quality.  This is the cost of a moped hobbyist obsession:

With the creation on this site, I constantly receive battle stories of Hawaii Puchs of old.  Simpler times when big bore kits and parts were very hard to come by.  And in order to go fast was to use PURE TWO STROKE INGENUITY.  The good old times like I would say....

Potential routes:


Option 1:  Meet up at Wailua Sugar Mill.  Unload and ride to Kahuku (or further) and back.


Option 2:  Meet up at Minnow Motorworks (Kakaako).  Unload and ride to Waimanalo and back.

Puch Vintage Moped Hawaii Shirts

Some custom Puch Vintage Moped Hawaii shirts courtesy of the Red Baron.  He collaborated with his school's graphics department and came out with these beauties (Thanks MHS!!).  Unfortunately, these are limited pressed.  He only made about a dozen and wanted to keep this an exclusive item.  Only a select few can get these.  It's especially limited to the Hawaii riders.  If you want them hit me up and I'll get you a contact.  They only come in Large.
